We have some decisions to make for the 2015 Cross Country season. Our founder and Head Coach, Robert Wright, will not be returning this season. He will be sorely missed, but we are so grateful for his MANY years of dedication. The opportunities he has provided for so many families and generations has been invaluable.
Now we will all need to decide what to do for this year. There are many options:
If your school has a program already, then you may want to run with them.
If not, you may consider either helping to keep this program running or starting one at your child's school.
Another option is to go to other established clubs in the league.
Coach Zahid and I are willing to help out if anyone is willing to take on VC Express, but we only have this year and next left before we are out of youth sports all together. We do not have a cross country program at Briggs yet, so we will put all of our energies into helping anyone that wants to run this program or if it is decided that this is no longer an option then we will look into starting up at the school so that our daughter still has the opportunity to run.
We would like to have a meeting on Monday, August 10 at Arroyo Verde Park at 6pm. The kids can have a light run and the parents can meet to discuss all these options.
